Silver City, Idaho

A few years ago I saw a set of plans for the Idaho Hotel in the Nov.Dec 2000 Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette. I recognized the hotel as the last business in Silver City from many Saturday trips to the Owyhees. It's a good place to grab a bite to eat and the Hotel still rents rooms out. As there's no electricity in Silver City, I imagine it's a pretty rustic experience.

The Author Tom Beaton mentioned that he hadn't seen the Hotel, and didn't have photos of the back. I was up there in the summer of 2001 and took these photos with the intent to pass them on to the author. Not long after, Bar Mills and Saco River Structures put together this kit of the hotel.
